As you point out, I think it is extremely important to first listen to the client in order to gain a good understanding of how they work. Some clients prefer to be very involved and others have complete confidence in leaving you to do what you do best. Create a balance, stick to your work flow but adapt to the clients needs and definitely keep the lines of communication open. Great article.
