The transformation of the friends into the strangers frightens many today. Therefore I looked at your post with great interest. The talking about the ways of advertising is the discussion on how to become heard by other. The consciousness of the search for the outcome was lovely to watch. Thank you.

It's easy for freelancers to forget that Web sites and e-mail aren't the answer for everything. The old stuff still works and often works better than online stuff.

I just posted an article on The Freelance Pro called "7 Steps for Killer Freelance Sales Letters." And it talks about how to use good old sales letters ... on actual paper that you send through the mail ... to find clients. There's a lot less competition in snail mail than there is in e-mail, so you can really stand out if you send a well-written letter.

Hi Erin, videos are in fact extremely powerful marketing tools. If it's been tested and it proved to be effective, chances are it will still work today :)

Hey Chris, haha, don't slam your head too hard! Seriously when I was 14-15 y/o I had a band (ahh souvenirs) and we were looking for other kids to play with, making posters and flyers worked soo well. It still works pretty good today :)

The best damn advice is always the most obvious.

* slams head into the table *

I should have thought of this before but this was a bit of a wakeup call for me.

There's a whole world out there that really doesn't use the internet very much and I'm missing out on grabbing a more of these individuals' attention.

Just creating a few cool looking posters and putting them in a few strategic locations is a great idea.

making a video isn't a bad idea for marketing, either, if it's done the right way for your specific audience.
old school marketing works, we just forget about it. great refresher, jon!
