Outsourcing is great. But you need to watch out. If you’re not careful you’ll run into trouble in these 2 areas.

1) Communication

Not just language barriers, but also your ability to clearly state what you want to happen and have the outsourced party actually understand you.

2) Quality

I’ve seen lots of outsourced projects sent to subpar programmers. You need to make sure the person or company you’re outsourcing too knows what there doing and delivers top quality work.

@Jonathan — I’m amazed at how outsourcing can help even those with not enough work. If done properly, you can free up a lot of your time to work on billable stuff or to go out and get more business.

I’m not sure what you mean by outsourcing 11 hours, but basically all the time that you free up by outsourcing you can use to focus on other projects (and make more money) or work on other aspects of your business like marketing and networking. Simply take what’s the most time-consuming and that is giving you the least rewards and outsource it to focus on what’s important (important for you at least) :)

thats a great posts.

To get a better freelance jobs it’s bit harder sometimes. I tried several times and also got scope but the amount is low. As well, I learned a lot in different situations.

If you’re outsourcing 11 hrs – what you do in 13hrs? Can you please tell me?
