Great article! I would like to suggest that isn’t enough to just have a blog — you have to blog in a way that leads to more clients, more money. You are essentially a business and that means you need to blog like it.

Jon has answered your query fairly well, and I’ll only add that use the language that most of your prospective customers/readers can understand, because it’s not the language that is important, but the interaction, the conversation. Use the language that your readers find comfortable and easier to communicate with.

Hi Firewalker, Amrit wrote this post, but I can maybe give some advices :)
I’d say if you wanna target people locally, go with your speaking language. For instance, I’m in Montreal, Canada, so if I want local customers I’ll target english and french speaking people. Of course if I target only french speaking folks, I’ll miss out on a lot of opportunities. Since english is more “international”, why not translate posts, or promo material, in english and in your own language :)

You said that it is better to make a blog. What I’m asking is about the language that we used. Which is better? Local? Or International language (English)?

In my opinion is, if your current target market is local customer, it is better to make a blog with your own language.

But English blog shows better portfolios… and another additional value.

This is a very informative piece, its very easy to forget about a client once the project is over, however i have found that by keeping in contact with them and making them aware of your current projects or any exciting news or developments you can both build on the working relationship but also generate a healthy repeat profit that you can rely on during the dreaded ‘lean times’.
