New Partnership With FreelanceSwitch, Job Board Now On FreelanceFolder!

Posted March 4, 2009 in News 7 Comments »

Freelance JobsIn an exciting new development for FreelanceFolder, we have officially partnered with FreelanceSwitch to offer their excellent job board on FreelanceFolder! The job board is now shown and promoted on both of our sites, and will hopefully provide freelancers everywhere with a better place to find gigs.

With the combined power of the two biggest freelancing blogs, the job board should become an even better resource than it is already. I have personally used it extensively, on both sides of the equation, and can recommend it highly to anyone who is looking to find gigs or to hire freelancers.

How Does It Work?

The job board is very easy to use for both freelancers and employers. If you’re a freelancer, just click over to the job board, find a job you’re looking for, and click “Apply.” You’ll then be taken to a page where you can subscribe to the job board (it costs $7/mo for freelancers) and get the contact information for any job on the board. Once subscribed, you can find and apply to as many jobs as your heart desires (or your wallet demands).

For employers, all you have to do is go to the job board and click “Post a Job for Free” — from there you can create a free account and input all of your job details. Jobs are usually approved in less than a day, so you’ll be receiving applications in no time.

What Do You Think?

Do you have any thoughts or feedback on the partnership with FreelanceSwitch or the job board? Any suggestions to improve the implementation? Feel free to let us know in the comments.

    Awesome move Mason!

I’m excited that our readers can now look for freelancing jobs without ever leaving the site.

Thanks Mason! We’re very excited to be hosted by the fabulous FF :-) I’ve just posted up on FreelanceSwitch telling everyone to come and subscribe here if they haven’t already!

Hey Laura! I’m very happy about the move as well. It gives us the opportunity to help freelancers find more work without the need to create yet another job board.

Hey Collis! Absolutely, it’s our pleasure. As I said, I’ve used the Fsw job board on many occasions and have always had great results. I’m very happy to be able to offer that benefit directly to our readers.

Hey that’s great news! Nice to see my two favorite freelancing blogs partner up! (but I’m biased hehe) :)

I agree with Jon, these are my two favorite freelance websites. I don’t even think I visit any other fully freelance related websites :) A great move Mason. Definitely.

What a great addition to Freelance Folder! But how does this subscription thing work exactly? When I pay my monthly fee do I get email notifications of new jobs or do I still have to keep coming back to browse the board? (Not so much an issue, just curious).

@Marc — The monthly subscription gives you access to the information you need to apply to each job — you’ll still need to visit the job board to get the descriptions and info. Of course, there is an RSS feed that will make that easier :-)
