Get an events calendar that community members can nominate or submit (for review perhaps) events to!

There are lots of free webinars and teleseminars that would be of interest to freelancers and independent consultants -- be a central organizing point for that.

At MBO Partners we have a few webinar series of completely educational content that we would love to contribute to that calendar. The next event coming up is Contracts 101: Negotiating Consulting Agreements in Your Favor. The last one was super popular about Consulting Bill Rate Calculation.

Marketers like @joelcomm also have free webinars that are awesome, like the Social Media Bootcamp series, and I'm sure there are more if we look for them.

As long as the events are not sales pitches (some moderation may be required) it would be an awesome feature.

I have another one. I just bought a domain name: www.Cardimon-Communications.com.

It is being hosted by BlueHost. The site is dormant, a placeholder for the moment. I haven't a clue how to get a quick-and-dirty site going. I want to list my name, what I do, and contact information in a way that does not drive customers away in disgust.

Can you provide really basic instructions on something like this?

How to get a website running in 5 or 10 easy steps. Many thanks.

I read lots of blogs on freelancing, and some who were still doing well a few months ago are predicting a bleak April. Their clients are cutting back more and more, and some are simply going bankrupt.

How about a piece on how It's Always Darkest Just Before Dawn (because it is)?

How about a piece on how even a newbie (such as myself) can get started during a prolonged recession?

Those are two ideas that struck me this morning, along with how great your blog is. I always visit and will continue doing so.

I really like your site. I get a lot of useful information from it. What I would like to see is a subject line that I could see when I save all of your emails to a folder.

Right now my file shows Freelance Folder and the subject says the same thing. I am not a computer guru so that makes it difficult for me to go back to older email issues to look for particular topics of interest.

There are only two sites that I subscribe to that do that- Freelance Folder and Problogger. Both good sites but for the convenience of your readers, me and I am sure many others, being able to go back to previous emails by looking at the subject would be very helpful.

Thanks for listening.

I would suggest some more resources, or perhaps organizing a few 'kits' of resources for various areas of freelancing. I have always felt that section was a little neglected, but otherwise just keep up the good work!

I have to say, I really like Freelance Folder and I can not say Freelance Switch is better than you guys. I love both sites and enjoy reading your articles.

I guess I could suggest you guys have an article on why blogging is important for freelancers and what the benefits are. Blogging is a huge thing and I'm sure many freelancers are contemplating whether to start a blog. Give them a reason and talk about the benefits. It would be a great article I think.
