June 20th, 2010 at 9:57 amI started coming here because I saw an article about time-management that I liked…and I never left.
I stay because of the idea that I’m not alone in this freelancing thing, that people out there face the same problems, the same issues. It’s great to read the other comments that people leave, and though I’ve never read the forums (just too many forums to stay on top of) I feel like it’s a community.
I look forward to more posts helping us freelancers out, so get to it!

June 20th, 2010 at 4:15 pmThe thing I feel I get most from FF are, above all else, the myriad viewpoints. Some humbling, some informative, some I agree with, some I don’t. Heck, even some that seem smug and arrogant. It’s all something to learn from, all things we can use to see how we do our job from many different people already doing it. It’s experience and advice right at my fingertips that I can assimilate and with which I can experiment. So far I feel I’ve gotten a lot more business advice than tech info, though, but that may be even more valuable. Tech info is in abundance, and a lot of us techies got that through formal education anyway. How to deal with clients, money, taxes, stress, work hours, billing, etc, that’s another thing entirely. It’s a big communal advantage for us to have sites like this.

June 21st, 2010 at 4:35 amIt’s both the informative articles and the sense of community that I get from Freelance Folder. Here we are sitting in splendid isolation tapping away at our computers, so it’s easy to feel isolated when you’re not in an office or team environment. Freelance Folder helps me to feel part of a wider community.

June 21st, 2010 at 11:25 pmI have been in business a little less than 2 years. I come here to get information and encouragement. All of you have great advice and viewpoints. I always seem to get the right post at the right time. I’m looking at having to go back to work full time to pay the bills, and it’s really tough. No matter what happens, I will keep coming back here every day to trade ideas with experts and like-minded people who can show me the way. Thanks for the great support!

June 25th, 2010 at 7:20 amI visit Google Reader and click on posts from Freelance Folder because I learn from this place. :)
I was able to learn about different web apps, strategies, possible solutions to freelancing problems, and relate to the different topics covered by Freelance Folder. Even if I only started being a regular reader since May, I can say that I’ve learned, applied a tip or two, and improved a considerable amount thanks to you guys.
Keep it up!

October 11th, 2010 at 2:56 pmI read FF for really valuable articles on managing my business (and my time), SEO, social media, and marketing. I am a voiceover talent, and so I thought at first that FF would mostly be aimed at freelance writers and graphic artists. But I get lots of information that is applicable to my work.
I mostly “read” FF via your tweets about articles. And as a result, I find FF useful for giving me articles to tweet about — and you know how important it is to put valuable content in your tweets!

February 11th, 2012 at 7:40 amNice post. I learn something more challenging on different blogs everyday. It will always be stimulating to read content from other writers and practice a little something from their store. I’d prefer to use some with the content on my blog whether you don’t mind. Natually I’ll give you a link on your web blog. Thanks for sharing.
