So true! Ideas are like noses - everybody has them. It's seeing them through that makes the difference! And it's important to realize which ones are truly worth pursuing.
Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this guys. I think eliminating ideas is as important as it is to generate ideas. I am glad I was able to relate to most of you on that one fact. Good luck with your ideas :)

Nothing's worse than having an idea then just sitting on it, only to see a similar version of it published somewhere else by a writer who followed through. These are some great steps to commit to, the follow through being most important. It's a tough balance; sometimes I'm full of ideas but also full of work, but as freelancers we have to keep planning for the future so we continue to be busy.

Napoleon Hill said it right:

Everything starts with an idea. Idea is the initial structure of your dreams and goals.

Great post,

Nice elaboration, thanks for the good post!

The process of transforming idea into reality is a laborious task; one must follow and stick to the steps you have mentioned to materialize what is planned..

My viewpoint in eliminating the ideas is you don't have to throw irrelevant ideas away. I mean you can't use them as of now but maybe in your future writings. Filtering ideas though is essential.

For setting goals, I think it would be beneficial if you are going to set short term and long term goals. Short term goals are like puzzle pieces to complete the long term goals. So for every 24 hours that is consumed might as well accomplish 1-2 short term goals. To avoid being stagnant.ss
