I hate writing essays, so I’ve tried up to a dozen essay writing services in past couple of years. Thought I’d just share my experience with the most popular ones in the U.S. Please give a like if you enjoyed this post, hope I didn't write all this for nothing 🙂
This is just my take based on real orders I placed, your experience can be different.
1. PaperHelp (https://www.paperhelp.org/)
They’ve been around since 2008, claim 700K+ papers written. Writers have degrees (mine had an MA in psychology). You can reuse the same writer, which I did twice. I ordered a 5-page undergrad essay, 7-day deadline. It was $80 total ($16/page). Later tried a 3-hour rush order for $40/page.
The paper came on time, well-researched with primary sources, and matched my instructions (I asked for simple language). Citations were spot-on APA. I checked with a free plagiarism tool online and the paper was clean. Their dashboard let me message the writer directly, which was cool for clarifying stuff.
Downsides: It’s not the cheapest, $16/page adds up fast. Plagiarism reports cost extra ($10), which annoyed me. Customer support was helpful but slow to reply once (took 6 hours).
Would I use again? Yeah, when I’ve got some cash and need quality.
2. SpeedyPaper (https://speedypaper.com/)
SpeedyPaper covers tons of subjects (there are 50+ to choose from in the order form). Writers include ESL experts, which was great for me. Tightest deadline is 4 hours.
I ordered a 3-page undergrad essay, 3-day deadline, plus a 10-page sociology paper later. The undergrad English essay cost $48 ($16/page), sociology one was $200 ($20/page).
I’m an international student, so I asked for clear, natural writing that wouldn’t scream “outsourced.” Both papers hit the mark. They used simple phrasing, no weird AI wording. The sociology paper had solid stats from recent studies. Delivery was early both times (by a day). I asked for a revision on the English essay to tweak the conclusion, and they fixed it in 6 hours, no charge. Their site has free samples, which helped me gauge their style before ordering.
Downsides: Picking a specific writer costs 10% more. Their chat support is 24/7 but responses felt scripted sometimes, that felt a bit off.
Would I use again? Definitely. I think it's a good option, especially for non-native speakers.
3. EssayPro (https://essaypro.com/)
EssayPro is an essay writing marketplace. You can see writer profiles and pick one. The company claims 1.5M users. There is a free top writer assignment and plagiarism check.
I asked them to write a 4-page college psych essay on cognitive bias with a 5-day deadline, and later a 2-page rewrite of my own draft. What it cost me: $45.60 for the psych essay ($11.40/page), $25 for the rewrite.
The psychology essay was decent. It covered the basics with journal references but missed some depth I’d hoped for (like specific experiments). The rewrite was better, the essay writer polished my messy draft into something clear without changing my ideas. I liked that they threw in a plagiarism report for free and let me chat with the writer during the process. Revisions were unlimited, but I only needed one small tweak. Their prices are low, which is why I tried them.
Downsides: No phone support if you’re stuck. The first paper wasn’t amazing, just okay. No PayPal payment option.
Would I use again? Probably yes, for quick fixes or cheap orders.
4. Grademiners (https://grademiners.com/)
This service is super fast, 1-hour deadlines possible. It covers 40+ subjects and includes free samples and guides online.
I ordered a 4-page undergrad psychology essay with a 3-day deadline that cost me $64.64 ($16.16/page). The essay was solid, it had recent research and good reasoning, which my prof loved. Grademiners has a huge writer pool (3,600+, they claim), so my order was processed very quickly. Revisions were free, but I didn’t need any.
Downsides: No PayPal, though at this point it seems like it's a common issue with many essay writing services. The price is a bit steep, even with a 15% welcome discount.
Would I use again? Yeah, for urgent or complex stuff, especially if there was a discount available.
What I learned is that you really have to be clear with instructions to avoid meh results. Also, don’t expect miracles for $9/page. If you have an urgent or important paper - don't go cheap. If you have time for editing the paper a bit, I would recommend using cheaper services like EssayPro. Hope it helps!
